Israeli airstrikes killed at least four Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Monday, health officials said, as local hospitals received the bodies of 15 people and treated 38 wounded over the past 48 hours.

Medics reported to Reuters that two separate aerial bombardments in Khan Younis killed two Palestinians and wounded six others. A third strike killed a Palestinian in the town of Al-Musaddar, while a fourth person died when an Israeli strike struck a vehicle in the Tel Al-Hawa neighborhood of Gaza City.

The Israeli occupation military stated in two separate announcements on Monday that it conducted strikes across the enclave on Saturday and on Oct. 22.

In its first release, the military claimed its strikes killed two members of Hamas’s elite force, alleging one infiltrated Nir Oz settlement on October 7. The occupation army asserted that both operatives directed assaults against Israeli civilians and occupation soldiers, working to reconstitute Hamas’s capabilities in what it termed a systematic breach of the ceasefire.

In the second military communique, the Israeli army claimed it eliminated four Hamas members implicated in executing operations, asserting the targeted raids occurred on Oct. 22 and Saturday to neutralize an imminent threat.

The military added that the targets included a department head within Hamas’s recruitment branch who directly bolstered and rebuilt the movement’s military wing in Gaza, alongside a Nukhba operative who infiltrated Israel on Oct. 7, 2023. Throughout the war, and particularly in recent weeks, these operatives led attacks against Israeli civilians and Israeli Defense Forces personnel, attempting to restore Hamas’s capabilities in violation of the truce, the military said.

The Gaza Ministry of Health reported that the death toll from the occupation’s genocidal war against the enclave has risen to 74,609 martyrs, with 175,827 people wounded since October 7. Ministry figures indicate that since the Oct. 11, 2025 ceasefire took effect, Israeli attacks have killed 1,593 Palestinians, wounded 5,748 others, and emergency teams have retrieved 847 bodies.

The ministry emphasized that numerous victims remain trapped beneath rubble and strewn along roads, inaccessible to ambulance and civil defense teams.

Israel has escalated its airstrikes against Hamas over recent weeks, claiming the group has rearmed and violated the truce declared a year prior. Hamas denies these claims, asserting that it is neither mounting attacks nor rearming, and accusing Israel of systematically dismantling the Gaza truce agreement, according to Reuters.
